Notes
Following the electrical power outage this week we have assisted the Estates team in investigating the fault and getting the external lights working again. We understand that electricians from Wates will be on site next week to continue these works.
Our arboriculturist and ecologist have visited the site to assess the progress of the tree felling, safeguarding of the remaining trees, and installation of bat houses by our approved professional contractors.
Hoarding works and tree protection zones are in place ahead of demolition to Mais House and will continue to be in place ahead of demolition to the garages in Otto Close.
We have committed to maximising the use of all wood sourced from the estate, ensuring all usable wood is recovered and reused. This week, we repurposed logs sourced from felled trees within the estate to local Primary School Eliot Bank. The school will be using these to provide seating in their Forest School, where students learn personal, social and technical skills in a natural outdoor environment.
